Local Contractor of 2025

Raised on a farm in Sumner, Iowa, Joe Youngblut learned the value of hard work, resourcefulness, and doing things right from the start. Over the past two decades, he’s carried those same values into a construction career that has taken him from Iowa to major markets including Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and Minneapolis.

That range of experience has built extensive hands-on knowledge across a competitive and ever-changing industry, shaping how Van Woert Construction approaches every project—with a focus on integrity, quality craftsmanship, and dependable work from start to finish.

Van Woert Construction is a separate construction company from Dana Van Woert Interiors, specializing in quality remodeling and carpentry.

While the two businesses often partner together, working with DVWI does not require you to work with Van Woert Construction. You’re always free to choose the contractor or builder who feels like the right fit for your project.

That said, when design and construction come together, we make a pretty great team. We’ve worked alongside each other on projects before and understand how to communicate, coordinate, and keep the bigger picture in focus. We share the same goal: to deliver quality remodels and builds with integrity, craftsmanship, and care for our clients.
