Welcome to the DVWI process.

DVWI uses a process that gives clarity to plan on. This process facilitates a smooth & more enjoyable project.

Phase 1:

Discovery

  • Click on the Start Your Project button and simply fill out the Client Questionnaire. This information helps us get to know both you and your project.

  • I will schedule your complimentary in-home interior design consultation.

We will delve into the space, issues or concerns with the current layout, your wish list, and more, to set the stage for a possible partnership and transformative design.

  • Our proposal outlines a plan tailored to your needs, encompassing creative concepts, project scope, and transparent cost estimates and/or price ranges.

* This is the ideal time to research, meet, & consult with potential remodelers, contractors or builders.

Phase 2:

Design

  • Spatial planning in interior design involves strategically arranging elements to optimize functionality, We will also start implementing the materials we have discussed using.

I will introduce mood boards to serve as a visual roadmap for the following step: Materials & Selections

  • We will have meetings at local vendors and fabricators to make selections for your project.

  • The design plan is an important moment in the entire project process where creative concepts are finalized in detailed construction plans.

  • Purchase orders are invoices for purchasing and procurement of the selections needed to start construction.

Phase 3:

Construction

  • Procurement encompasses communicating with suppliers, organizing lead times, ordering, receiving, inspecting items, problem solving, storage, and any additional transportation needed of the selections.

This stage ensures an organized and efficient process that aligns with the installation timeline.

  • Skilled professionals bring the envisioned design to life.

During this phase, the installers and designers work together on problem solving any installation discrepancies.

  • Toward the end of construction and installation, I will work with your skilled trades professionals to set up the punch list process.

This is a document or list used at the end of a project to itemize minor defects, incomplete tasks, or necessary corrections before final payment and project closing.

Generally, it is not limited to one day or time. You have some time as the project wraps up, but do organize and document your list to insure the items are addressed.

Phase 4:

Closing

  • Potential staging and photography. All shared with you in the Closing Package.

  • A personalized package of warranties, specifications documents, before and after photos, and marketing materials.
